The answer to this is simple. A journal style account of our Epic journey is an effective way of documenting our progress, and our journey as a pharmacy team/department. So, I guess this is a journal of a journey. But wait....we've been live for 4 months! Yikes I am late!!! Well, maybe....I have been keeping some writings here and there but now time to lay them down into a central area accessible from any wifi spot and sharable to others with discretion.
Secondly, this helps me and others remember the choices we made. It will allow a holistic perspective on things.
Others that come through CSMC Dept of Rx can see what we were thinking and verify that we were not totally crazy in our decisions.
And in general it helps me clear my head. :) Although pharmacy informatics does not sound sexy, read on and see if I portray it in a more fashionable light. As we progress as a profession, this area is an inevitable responsibility of every clinical pharmacist.
Ohh what's that...can I really add pics to this?? Watch out.... ;)
