Swisslog is a hospital automation developer and supplier that is headquartered in Buchs/Aarau Switzerland. Swisslog makes a variety of products that may interest CSMC. Such as the BoxPicker (analogous to MedCarousel), PillPick (currently in place), Pneumatic Tube System (currently in place) and ATP (high speed tablet packager...this is my perspective...still looking at the practicality of incorporating into our current state and its flexibility as we move forward).
Our Swisslog PillPick robot process our cartfill. Our cartfill is sent from Epic Q24 hours at ~0230. Meds stocked in Swisslog will be filled by Swisslog. Meds not stocked in Swisslog are sent over as our manual cartfill items in our manual cartfill area. Swisslog fills ~85% of our cartfill for the entire hospital. Prior to Epic's implementation, it only processed the med/surg areas. After an evaluation, the Swisslog could accomodate our ICU areas if syringes were removed.
